MAY NEWSLETTER
Yeah, May is finally here. If it ever quits snowing I may be able to get in some kayaking. Ok, on to more important things like quilting.
For those that didn’t make it to our Spring Bonnet party, you missed quite a good time. Not to mention all the wonderful bonnets. Thank you very much to those that did come. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I will have some pictures posted on the web site next week so you can see how “cool” we all looked. Heehee . We did start planning our next party so look for an email in July.
I have a lot of classes scheduled for May and June. I won’t list them all here but they are listed on the calendar on the web site. quiltersquarry.com. I apologize in advance for the web site as it is a continual work in progress.
The specials for May are 20% off Yellow smiley face stickers and 20% off all patterns.
I have a quilt show I promised to tell you about in this email. It is in St Ignatius. Hope you can all make it and support them.
Ayleen’s Thursday Quilters will hold their 11th Annual Quilt Show on Wednesday, May 6th through Friday, May 8th, at the St. Ignatius LDS Church, North Main Street, St. Ignatius. The hours will be 11 to 7 daily. Pat Anderson of Ronan will be the featured quilter. In lieu of admission, we are recommending a donation to the St. Ignatius Senior Center. There will be daily demonstrations including long arm quilting, yarn quilting, and quilting on home sewing machines. We will also have displays and demonstrations of some of our community projects: baby blankets for the Ronan and Polson hospitals, nursing cover-ups (hooter hiders) for Tribal Health and the Lake County Breast Feeding Coalition. We enjoy making quilts to be raffled by the St. Ignatius Senior Center (tickets are available at the St. Ignatius Senior Center), as well as quilts for those serving in our military. Look for a list of these organizations at the quilt show. Vote for your favorite quilts on Wednesday and Thursday. Winners will be posted on Friday. Come and see all the beautiful quilts.
